Ania Harnden is a compassionate and seasoned therapist with nearly two decades of experience working with individuals from diverse age groups and cultural backgrounds. She specializes in working with childhood trauma, PTSD, Complex PTSD, sexual abuse, body image, self-esteem issues, and challenges faced by families.
Ania helps clients process trauma using powerful therapeutic modalities such as EMDR and Ego State therapy. She is dedicated to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can reflect, heal, and grow while effectively addressing their unique needs. Ania also works extensively with families, supporting parents navigating challenges with teenagers, addressing issues of disconnection, and fostering healthier relationships. She also helps parents and adult children work through complicated dynamics to rebuild trust and mutual understanding. Her approach is grounded in respect, dignity, and holistic care tailored to individual circumstances.
Ania has a deep passion for promoting body acceptance and positive body image. She is the creator of True Image Collective, a unique initiative combining therapy and photography to help people explore self-perception and develop self-esteem.
Fluent in both English and Polish, Ania offers bilingual therapy sessions. She is an approved provider for services including but not limited to; QFES (Fire and Emergency Services), QPS (Queensland Police Service), DVA, Victim Assist QLD, and insurance-funded sessions. She also supports clients using Mental Health Care Plans (with a small out-of-pocket expense). Additionally, Ania welcomes self-referred clients who prefer to privately pay for sessions, ensuring access to support without the need for external funding.
