Ashley Glennie is a registered general Psychologist originally from Canada. Ashley completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) in Australia and is passionate about working with individuals across the lifespan, addressing a variety of concerns.
Her professional journey has provided her with extensive experience in multidisciplinary settings. She has worked with a NDIS provider, both in clinic and community settings, and in a high-school environment. Prior to her psychology career, Ashley served as a Support Worker in mental health and residential care, offering her valuable insight into the challenges individuals may encounter.
Ashley is kind and compassionate and takes a non-judgmental approach to therapy. Ashley prioritises the therapeutic alliance and building a solid foundation with clients. Ashley is transparent with clients in a neuro-affirmative way not wanting to change who the client is but working to help them become the best version of themselves. Ashley often shares with her clients the analogy that while she cannot prevent life’s inevitable challenges from arising, she can offer them a surfboard and teach them how to ride the waves. This metaphor underscores Ashley’s commitment to equipping her clients with the essential tools and skills they need to effectively navigate through life’s ups and downs.
