Bach Sci (hons) Psych Counselling Bus
It is lovely to meet you! My name is Lauren and I am the new Psychology Intern at M1/Vision Psychology Team.
I am a Provisionally Registered Psychologist with AHPRA, a Member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc, and an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society. I hold a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Southern Queensland.
I am passionate about applying the knowledge and methods of psychology to understand and help older Australians, people living with a disability, and anyone experiencing burnout due to workplace and/or study stress. Having spent many years working full time while completing my university degree, I understand the impact of burnout and the stress/anxiety associated with juggling competing priorities. I am solution-focused and take a strengths-based approach and walk alongside you to improve your quality of life and relationships with others, maintain wellbeing and practice self-care, pursue your aspirations, and overcome challenges to achieve your maximum potential. My areas of interest include:
- Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Improving Relationships
- Goal Setting and Problem Solving
- Communication and Social Confidence
- Support for Life Transitions
- Anxiety and Depression
- Ages 17 years and up for counselling
- Emotional Health Check Ups – any age
I am available to conduct Emotional Health Check Ups every Friday at M1 Psychology. If attending for support for a child, then parents can decide to visit with or without their child. EHCs are a complementary service, aimed to support you to find the right match for a psychologist or therapist.
To make an appointment try Online Booking. Alternatively, you can call Vision Psychology Brisbane on (07) 3088 5422 as Lauren is now working from our Wishart practice.
