Men and Eating Disorders

October 9, 2017 By Admin

While the majority of people who experience eating disorders like Anorexia and Bulimia are female, there is still a substantial number of men who experience similar difficulties with eating disorders. While often stemming from different external influences, both men and women can have very similar concerns over body weight, body shape and ideal appearance.

Eating disorders commonly occur alongside problems with self-esteem and frequently co-occur with depression or anxiety. Without treatment, eating disorders can lead to significantly lower hormone levels, serious oral health issues (tooth decay) and chronic long term illnesses from unhealthy nutrition. If you or someone you know may be suffering from an eating disorder, know that help is available.

Book in for a free Emotional Health Checkup today either online or on 30679129.
