Relationship conflict

April 8, 2018 By Admin

Conflict within relationships is an inevitable part of life, and not necessarily bad. It is normal for people to have different needs, interests, values, beliefs and opinions. Resolving and managing conflict in a productive way can actually help you to create a deeper understanding, closeness and respect for your significant other. There are a number of ways that people approach conflict. Some have a tendency to avoid or deny the existence of a disagreement or conflict. Others feel that they have to win, or use their power or influence to get what they want. Or there are those who would rather just give in, than have to struggle with conflict. Engaging in healthy conflict can take time and practice, and involves both partners actively participating in the process and putting in the effort to find a solution that is acceptable to the both of you.

If you would like to learn more on how to manage relationship conflict, call 3067 9129 to make an appointment.
