B Psych (Hons), MClinPsych
I am Phuong Linh, a psychologist at Vision and M1 Psychology. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Hons), and a Master of Clinical Psychology.
My journey as a psychologist has taken me through diverse settings, equipping me with the skills and compassion necessary to work effectively with individuals across the lifespan. I have had the privilege of working therapeutically with adults, adolescents and children, addressing a wide range of emotional and behavioural concerns and challenges. These experiences have been gained in various settings, including community clinics and hospital environments.
I am fluent in both English and Vietnamese. Coming from a culturally and linguistically diverse background has informed my commitment to providing culturally responsive and sensitive practice, where I hold a deep respect for diverse perspectives and experiences.
My approach is rooted in collaboration with my clients. I understand that each individual’s journey is unique, and I am dedicated to tailoring our therapeutic work to your specific goals, needs, values, strengths, and challenges. My commitment to non-judgmental support, coupled with unconditional positive regard, ensures that thoughts and emotions can be explored in a safe and empathetic space.
My passion for psychology extends to the exploration of attachment and its profound impact on the way we relate to ourselves, others, and the world. Understanding these dynamics can help us to heal and grow. Together, we can navigate these complexities and find a secure base from which to face life’s challenges.
Regarding my work with children, I understand the importance of fostering healthy relationships and emotional well-being in children as well as the unique dynamic within each family. My approach involves creating a safe and supportive space where children and their families can navigate and address their specific challenges.
I recognize that seeking help can be a daunting experience; and I believe strength often emerges from vulnerability. I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey towards mental well-being and personal growth.
